Dancing In The Moonlight, Glad To See You Go, Shadows And Tall Trees.
The final concert for Dick Evans (Edge’s brother) and The Hype takes place, culminating with Bono’s announcement of the end of “The Hype” and the beginning of U2 (for a later set). After The Hype’s set, the Edge and Adam Clayton back up the Virgin Prunes’ very first concert and Adam guests on Steve Averill’s new band, The Modern Heirs. Modern day U2 is born tonight after a set by The Hype consisting mostly of cover songs, including the Ramones’ “Glad To See You Go”, while U2 played all original songs, including “Shadows and Tall Trees.”
