U2 fan-made film to have world premiere

Tickets are now on sale for a U2 fan documentary — made by fans for fans — that will have its world premiere in Tulsa the night before the band’s BOK Center concert.

“Dream Out Loud” will debut at 7:30 p.m. May 1 at Circle Cinema, 10 S. Lewis Ave., with tickets $25 and on sale online at dreamoutloudfilm.com.

Promoted as “the story of U2’s fans and their connection to the music, the band and each other,” the documentary’s filmmaker traveled during the group’s last tour, talking to more than 200 fans in 25 cities in five countries.

Hawaiian filmmaker David Barry decided to premiere his film in the same city that U2 kicks off its new tour on May 2.
