Massive stage erected outside Cow Palace for U2’s Dreamforce concert

The world’s most famous Irish rock ban is headlining Dreamforce and a massive, elaborate stage has been erected outside the Cow Palace for the concert on Wednesday night.

Salesforce, the software company behind the annual San Francisco conference, and their media team couldn’t provide details on the setup, but many passersby have snapped photos and posted them on social media. The outdoor stage features a huge light-up U2 sign and the indoor venue where food and drink will be served has been named the Cloud Palace.

On Tuesday evening, U2 conducted a sound check to run through its upcoming show, and fans looked through a chain-link fence to catch a glimpse of Bono and take in his unmistakable, earnest voice belting out “Beautiful Day,” “Bullet the Blue Sky,” and “Pride.
In the video above, they dance around to “Angel of Harlem.”
After sound check, some fans intercepted band members, obtaining prized autographs and photos for social media.

U2 will play Wednesday at 8:15 p.m. at a concert that’s a joint event for the Salesforce conference’s Dreamfest party and a benefit for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals. Ticket prices for the fundraiser are sold out and started at $1,000 and ran all the way up to a $1 million sponsorship package that includes perks such as access to exclusive viewing areas. The total fundraising goal for the event was $10 million.

U2 is expected to play a full show and will.i.am and MC Hammer are performing at the after party.
